Following Stevie Turner’s departure as EVOLVE’s on-screen General Manager, Bodyslam.net is reporting that veteran wrestler Timothy Thatcher is set to take over this role. Thatcher, known for his technical, hard-hitting style during his NXT run, has recently contributed to WWE’s ID program behind the scenes and even wrestled for the EVOLVE brand in 2025. This change signals a shift toward a tougher authority figure for the show’s direction.
“Changes are coming to WWE EVOLVE. One of the changes is the authority figure. Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Timothy Thatcher is going to be the new GM for WWE EVOLVE moving forward. Thatcher has been working with WWE with the WWE ID program and now he will get an official role on TV as well.” – Bodyslam
42-year-old Thatcher, real name Timothy Moura, debuted in 2005 in California, going on to gain international acclaim in Europe with Westside Xtreme Wrestling and PROGRESS, known for his rugged, technical grappling style. Still, Thatcher shone brightest in EVOLVE between 2014 and 2019, becoming the longest-reigning Evolve Champion and opening the door for him to sign with WWE in 2020. From there, he debuted on NXT and memorably feuded with Matt Riddle, and while he was released in 2022, he would return to the company in 2024 in a backstage role.
