Guitar virtuoso Nita Strauss made metal fans happy by rejoining Alice Cooper’s band earlier this year after briefly stepping aside to tour with Demi Lovato. Strauss also released a new solo album back in July, “The Call Of The Void,” which features guest spots from In Flames vocalist Andres Friden, former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale, Alice Cooper and Disturbed frontman David Draiman, among others.

Strauss was again out on the road with Cooper but unfortunately had to share “bad news” after fans noticed that she was absent for a recent show.

“Hey everyone, I got lots of messages about my whereabouts after last night’s Alice Cooper show and unfortunately I have some bad news to share,” Strauss wrote.

“Sadly, I will have to miss the next few shows of the tour due to illness. I’m taking all the necessary things and will rejoin the tour the absolute second I’m well enough. Alice and the boys are out there kicking ass as always, so show them lots of love if you’re going to a show this week! I’m very sorry to miss you guys out there and I will be back as soon as possible.”

Strauss has been playing with Cooper since 2014. She was first recommended to Cooper by his former bass player, Kip Winger, and she has made a huge name for herself as one of metal’s standout guitarists since getting the gig.
