Former WWE star Marc Mero has experienced two divorces, which would likely put some off from ever tying the knot again. However, Mero has now announced on X that he married his fiancée, Malissa, over the weekend in a small, intimate private ceremony. The ceremony occurred just two months after their October engagement, with Mero sharing photos and saying, “God’s timing is real, and today felt like a promise fulfilled.”
65-year-old Mero, a former amateur boxer who won multiple New York State titles, turned to professional wrestling in 1991, working under the name Johnny B. Badd in WCW. From there, he joined the WWE in 1996 as “Wildman” Marc Mero, accompanied by his then-wife, Sable, and soon won the Intercontinental Championship before later feuding with her over fan attention. Sadly, injuries cut short his in-ring career, and he now focuses on his nonprofit charity based around youth empowerment.
