It’s been a rough ride for former “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam” star Bam Margera as of late. Following a year in and out of rehab facilities where he was reported missing, his friend and former co-star Steve-O shared a heartbreaking update last month after Margera allegedly got drunk after opening for Steve-O on one of his comedy tour dates.
“Bam, last night you had your 5-year-old son with you on stage at my show, and you were blessed with the chance to spend another day or two with him — then as soon as you left my show, you stayed up all night getting loaded,” Steve-O wrote.
Following that, TMZ reported that Margera’s wife, Nicole Boyd, filed separation papers citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakdown in her marriage with Bam.
The former couple are the parents of their 5-year-old son, and Boyd is asking for both legal and physical custody. Margera will still apparently be allowed supervised visitation “as long as he foots the bill and it happens in L.A. County,” TMZ reported.
Now, Margera is due in court on Thursday, March 9 after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence at a home in San Diego County on March 2.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Margera was arrested for allegedly kicking a woman. He was booked “on suspicion of corporal injury on a current or former spouse, cohabitant, dating partner, or fellow parent” and was released the following day on $50,000 bail.
TMZ confirmed that the alleged victim is not his estranged wife.
Last week, Steve-O expressed regret at making the social media post about his falling off the wagon, but reiterated that it’s how he feels.
