Falling In Reverse just released a new song/video, “Ronald,” and the band announced a new album, “Popular Monster,” that will drop on July 26. The group is also set to tour later this year on a package that features Dance Gavin Dance, Black Veil Brides, Tech N9ne, Jeris Johnson and Nathan James.
In a new interview with Rock Feed, Falling In Reverse singer Ronnie Radke called one tune from the band’s catalog “embarrassing” — 2013’s “Alone.” The track was the lead single from FIR’s “Fashionably Late” record, and it addressed Radke’s “haters” on social media and some of his peers.
“I’ve been doing this rap and rock stuff for a long time, but I put out this song called ‘Alone,’ it’s the dumbest song,” Radke told Rock Feed. The host commented on the song’s hook, to which Radke replied: “Bro, oh my god. You’re a nice guy and it IS a great hook, but the lyrics and verses are *ss dude. It was so bad and it’s so embarrassing. I deserve to get roasted for it, and I welcome and deserve all the roast for it. You look back and cringe at stuff, right? When that first came out, I wasn’t getting attacked yet. And I put that out and I got destroyed for it. It really broke me down.”
Radke went on to say that he’s better equipped to handle criticism now than he was in his youth. “It was not as worse as going to prison,” he said of the backlash he got for the song. “So nothing is as worse as that, so I can handle anything bro.”
