Former WWE developmental talent Kevin Nikel, known as Knuckles Madsen and Ivan Warsaw, was fatally shot in Rogers, Arkansas, last July 2025. Subsequently, his ex-wife and her new boyfriend, Michael Hogue, were arrested, with it claimed that the shooting happened during an altercation. And now it has been reported that while Hogue remains jailed on murder charges, Penny has now been released but still faces hindering apprehension and firearm charges, plus must observe a no-contact order with Nikel’s family.
Nikel began his career in 2007 on the Texas independent scene and signed with WWE in 2012, training in OVW before competing in NXT as Knuckles Madsen, appearing on house shows. Released in 2013, he returned to the indies as Ivan Warsaw, working for NWA Texas, Dog Pound Wrestling, and others. Additionally, he founded Ozark Mountain Wrestling and the Ozark Wrestling Academy in Rogers, Arkansas, where he trained talent and is remembered as a passionate mentor.
