Bon Daisley was Ozzy Osbourne’s bassist on some of his most well-known albums, and he also wrote the bulk of Ozzy’s lyrics for his early solo records. He and guitarist Randy Rhodes co-wrote several of Ozzy’s biggest songs, but the bassist has long been involved in lawsuits against his former employer over credit for his work. So it’s not much of a surprise that he hasn’t been invited to participate in the July 5 “Back To The Beginning” show that will feature final performances by Black Sabbath and Ozzy himself.

In a recent interview with Indie Power TV, Daisley shared his reaction to not being included, and he’s concerned that the show could end up being an embarrassing finale for “The Prince Of Darkness.”

“I just hope they pull it off and it comes out good,” he said. “I couldn’t be invited to something like that and if I was would I want to be there? I really don’t know.” Daisley referenced past lawsuits and interaction with Ozzy and his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne as “dirty water under the bridge.”

He continued: “To be honest with you, I don’t think I’d want to be a part of that day. It will be awkward and it could turn out as an embarrassment as well. We’ll see.”

When Osbourne was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame as a solo artist, he thanked several former members of his solo band, but he left out Daisley. “I knew that was coming,” Daisley said. “I was not surprised when I didn’t get a mention. Many people thought that it was wrong and that I should have gotten a mention but I really didn’t expect it.”
