WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently shared a chilling personal experience on his 83 Weeks podcast, recounting how a troubled female fan harassed him during the 90s for almost eight years. According to the former WCW executive, she repeatedly sent unsettling packages and letters to his home, starting as eccentric fan mail but becoming increasingly alarming, prompting him to involve Turner Security and the FBI.
70-year-old Eric Bischoff helped revolutionize the business as WCW’s Executive Producer and President in the 1990s, launching Monday Nitro to challenge WWE’s Raw, creating the iconic nWo faction with Hulk Hogan, and dominating ratings. After WCW’s 2001 sale, he joined WWE as Raw General Manager and later worked in a managerial role with TNA.
And while he briefly returned to WWE in 2019 as the SmackDown Executive Director and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, his connection to pro wrestling now centers on his popular podcast. Additionally, he serves as the Chief Media Officer for Real American Freestyle, an effort to take amateur wrestling mainstream.
