During a recent interview with The Stunner, Paul Walter Hauser, the Emmy-winning actor known for “Black Bird” and “Richard Jewell,” revealed he is officially attached to portray WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley in a limited TV series. However, it should be noted that the exciting project is in its early stages and not yet sold to a network, meaning it could be several years before the biographical drama hits fans’ screens.
While in the past wrestler biographies had limited appeal and success, with the infamous “The Jesse Ventura Story” in 1999 heavily criticized for inaccuracies, the 2023 film “The Iron Claw” totally changed this perception, proving there was a market. And while scripted efforts on the lives of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair have stalled, it is understood that a feature biopic on “Macho Man” Randy Savage is currently in development, suggesting there could be a race to see which project can come out first.
