Dolph Ziggler Appears At Wrestle Kingdom 18 (w/Video)

Dolph Ziggler was a huge part of WWE television over the years and achieved levels of success most pro wrestlers could only dream of, yet he was deemed surplus to requirements by the company back in September. However, following the expiration of his non-compete clause, it now appears his future lies with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

This is because, during Wrestle Kingdom 18, he would appear ringside alongside his brother Ryan Nemeth prior to the IWGP Tag Team & Strong Openweight Tag Team title match between the Guerrillas of Destiny and Bishamon. Additionally, later in the evening, he would get into a confrontation with David Finlay after he had become the inaugural IWGP Global Champion.

Ziggler, real name Nick Nemeth, signed with WWE in 2004, and except for OVW, their developmental territory at the time, he has never wrestled elsewhere. Therefore, wrestling in New Japan will be a totally new experience for him. Although, considering his level of in-ring ability, it’s unlikely he’ll struggle to adjust, and he could easily become a big star for the promotion for years to come.
