Last week it was reported that disgraced indie wrestler Devon Nicholson was out on bail after assaulting an unidentified woman. And while details were sparse, it was known he had a nightly curfew and was due in court in October. Since then, Nicholson had been keeping a low profile but has now uploaded a video to his YouTube channel where he seemingly argues he was acting in self-defense. As he claims, the woman, who he previously dated, has five charges pending herself for assaulting him with a weapon and damaging his property. He now wants to leave it to the courts, where hopefully, his name will be cleared if what he is saying is truthful.

There are two sides to the story, and she’s already had one court appearance in Ottawa. She has another one in October. I’m going to leave it up to the courts.

The latter apparently knew about his condition going into the match, which is inexcusable, and subsequently, Nicolson would be awarded $2.3 million by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Nevertheless, it’s understood due to Abdullah putting his assets in his wife’s name, Nicolson wasn’t paid. This unfortunate situation resulted in many people having sympathy for Nicolson. Still, all the goodwill he built over the years was lost when he repeatedly struck a referee in the forehead, severing an artery and leaving him with a $10,000 medical bill. And while he has said the injuries the referee sustained were accidental, many question this based on the video footage shared by TMZ.
