Details Revealed For “Terrifier 3” Featuring Chris Jericho

Deadline.com has published an exclusive interview with “Terrifier 3” director Damien Leone and star Lauren LaVera. The third installment of the highly successful horror franchise is slated for an Oct. 25 release in theaters.

David Howard Thorton will reprise his role as Art the Clown, and LaVera is back as Sienna. Leone said the movie is in pre-production and will begin shooting in two months. He also revealed that Chris Jericho, who starred as a psychiatric hospital attendant in a credits scene of “Terrifier 2,” will make a cameo in the third movie.

“There are a few new major characters introduced in three, one in particular that it’s too soon for me to announce,” Leone said. “What I think I can say at this stage is that Chris Jericho is going to be returning. He’s super excited. This one is going to pick up where Part 2 left off, in the insane asylum, so, you’re going to see what transpires there, what mayhem unfolds, because seeing how Art and Victoria ended up, is so insane, and seeing how they get out of that situation and what happens next is going to be really wild. So, we have to get Chris back in there and see how he becomes a part of that situation.”

Leone outlined that the price of the original “Terrifier” was only $55K. The second film was just over $250K, but the forthcoming installment has around a $2 million budget.

In terms of the plot, distributor Cineverse previously said the film will “unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.”

An early trailer for the film can be viewed below, and the full interview with Leone and LaVera can be viewed here
