Former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth is currently on a U.S. tour playing several of the classic hits from his era with the band. Fans have taken to X and other social media platforms to share videos of Roth’s performances, and the reactions have been very mixed.
Some people are criticizing the frontman for lackluster singing, while others are happy that he’s back on stage doing his thing. One person shared a clip with the caption: “I want a refund from this David Lee Roth concert and I didn’t even go.” Another wrote: “Losing my sh*t over these awful David Lee Roth performances.” Yet another said: “Can someone please tell David Lee Roth to retire?”
Others were more complimentary. “Saw this absolute legend (David Lee Roth)last night,” said an X user. “He might not have sounded as good as he did back in the day, but he put on an amazing show and we had a lot of fun. It was great to see him again. I miss EVH.”
Another said: “Went to go see my all time favorite frontman, David Lee Roth, tonight. Were his high notes shakey? Yes. But honestly compared to the videos I saw online it was much better tonight. Not perfect, he definitely needs to not scream as much, but he had so much energy and passion.”
