During a recent episode of the Duke Loves Rasslin podcast, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley expressed willingness to end his feud with legendary commentator Jim Ross over alleged racist remarks. For those unaware, D-Von recently accused Ross of racist comments, which Ross has subsequently denied as “absurd,” noting he signed the ECW original to WWE in the first place and appears to be looking for attention. And now, following the firm denial, D-Von has stated that he’d be willing to sit down and discuss this with Ross, adding, “I’m gonna take the high road,” and confirming he has forgiven the famed commentator.
52-year-old D-Von, real name Devon Hughes, debuted in ECW in 1996, forming the iconic Dudley Boyz with Bubba Ray Dudley. From there, they dominated tag team wrestling, moving to WWE in 1999 and feuding with The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian, establishing themselves as stars of the Attitude Era. A nine-year run in TNA ran from 2005 to 2014, and then, somehow, surprisingly, they got a final WWE run leading up to their Hall of Fame inductions in 2018.
