Following Worlds Collide, it was speculated that any AAA talents who got over would soon find their way to WWE. Therefore, when it was discovered that popular luchador Psycho Clown had stopped taking indie bookings, most immediately assumed he was WWE-bound. And now, confirming this, it was announced on Friday night at the start of an indie show that this would be his last time at the venue as he was officially joining WWE.
While Psycho Clown’s real name isn’t publicly available, it is known that he is the son of José Alvarado Nieves, who famously wrestled as Brazo de Plata and Super Porky. Initially, Psycho Clown would honor his father by working as Brazo de Plata Jr., although his career really took off when he was repackaged and became part of Los Psycho Circus. Subsequently, the 39-year-old became one of the faces of AAA and, in Mexico, he has been positioned as a main event talent for many years.
