Cody Rhodes’ Entrance Song Hits New Plateau

WWE fans got what they wanted when Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed Universal Championship during the second night of Wrestlemania XL. The match featured appearances from The Rock, John Cena and The Undertaker and proved to be a thrilling conclusion to the “Show of Shows,” as Rhodes was able to finish his story.

Rhodes’ popular entrance song, “Kingdom,” got a Wrestlemania re-vamp by the band who wrote it, Downstait. After Wrestlemania, the group took to X to reveal that the tune hit No. 1 on the iTunes rock charts in both the United States and United Kingdom. ”Kingdom’ is NUMBER ONE on the #iTunes US Rock Charts!!!” the band wrote. “We will never be able to thank @CodyRhodes and all of you enough for making this happen, but THANK YOU, and we love you. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇲💀”

The band had been teasing something big in the lead up to Wrestlemania. Some speculated that the group would play Rhodes to the ring, but it was instead the new version of “Kingdom.” The band also announced that the song was streamed more than 100,000 times since Friday on Spotify. “Over 100,000 streams since Friday!” the band wrote. “You guys are incredibly incredible about how incredible you truly are. Thank you!”

Rhodes was joined by his wife, Brandi, for his entrance, which can be seen below.
