At a WWE live event in Fort Myers on December 30, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk hilariously trolled Kevin Nash after he mocked him for wrestling in a t-shirt. The two-time Hall of Famer had recently criticized Punk on his podcast for wrestling like this, suggesting it is unbecoming of a champion and saying Punk looked slow and was “done” in the ring. And now, indicating he is aware of what Nash said, during his match against Bronson Reed, Punk teased removing his shirt several times only to reveal another identical one underneath.
On his Kliq This podcast, Nash has been highly critical of Punk, once going as far as to compare him to The Ultimate Warrior, noting Punk’s history of burning bridges in wrestling. Nash specifically referenced Punk’s altercation with Jack Perry and said there’s no upside to signing him, and placed him “on the mantle right next to the Ultimate Warrior” for self-destructive behavior and toxicity. And while this was harshly dismissive of Punk, it appears the current WWE star has proved his high-profile critic wrong over the past two years.
