Christoper Daniels Says “Everything Is Fine In AEW” Despite Recent Reports Of Backstage Issues

In recent months there has been a lot of drama reported regarding the AEW locker room, with Jonathan Gresham reportedly cussing out Tony Khan, CM Punk apparently going off script to bury Adam Page, Thunder Rosa having many of the women’s roster turn against her, and Eddie Kingston suspended for an altercation with Sammy Guevera. Now though, Christoper Daniels, who is AEW’s Manager of Talent Relations, has spoken to the Headlock Pro Wrestling Podcast and told them that everything is going fine in AEW and noted that the internet wrestling community only sees things from the outside.

The wrestling internet sees what they see from the outside. Everything is going fine in AEW. We just promoted Tony Schiavone, QT Marshall, Sonjay Dutt, and Pat Buck. We’re tightening the ship and trying to get everything in a good place for us.

Right now, we have a successful television show. Dynamite is doing very well for TBS. Rampage is doing well for TNT. Hopefully, the international fans are enjoying it as well. Everything is going very well for us, we’re very happy for the success we’ve had, and we’re going upward and onwards.

Following news reports regarding wrestlers’ dissatisfaction with communication, Khan would make the talent relations changes mentioned by Daniels. With Sonjay Dutt becoming Vice President of Production and Creative Coordination, QT Marshall was promoted to Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination, Pat Buck became Vice President of Talent Development, and Tony Schiavone was made Senior Producer and Special Advisor to Talent. Seemingly the intention of this was to take the strain of day-to-day activities away from Khan, who can now oversee the bigger picture while reducing the types of incidents mentioned above from occurring.
