Chris Jericho’s KISS Cover Band Releases New Track

FOZZY singer Chris Jericho has long touted his love of KISS, especially the band’s non-makeup years. In 2020, Jericho, Trixter/FOZZY bassist P.J. Farley, guitarist Joe McGinness and drummer Kent Slucher formed the KISS cover band Kuarantine and released their version of “No No No” which originally appeared on KISS’ 1987 album, “Crazy Nights.” The song reached No. 25 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and the band would later record “Heart Of Chrome” (originally on 1992’s “Revenge”) with former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick. They also recorded another “Crazy Nights” cut, “Love’s A Deadly Weapon.” In all, Kuarantine has totaled nearly 500,000 views on YouTube.

Earlier this week, the band revealed their take on “Silver Spoon,” which originally appeared on KISS’ 1989 “Hot In The Shade” album. “I’m pleasantly surprised as to how much attention and buzz Kuarantine has achieved since we released our first song only a few years ago,” said Jericho. “Record companies…and groupies…have been sliding into our DMs daily with requests, offers, endorsements, and the question, ‘What’s the next track gonna be?’. Well, the time has come to unleash ‘Silver Spoon’ and turn the rock ‘n’ roll world into a damn zoo. Let us see all the animals!”

Kuarantine’s version of “Silver Spoon” has even drawn praise from KISS frontman Paul Stanley, who said: “My favorite song on ‘Hot In The Shade’ by far. Sounds great… well done!” Kuarantine performed Saturday as part of Creatures Fest in Nashville, a three-day festival that reunited former KISS members Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Vinnie Vincent and Kulick. Kuarantine will also perform on Chris Jericho’s Rock ’N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea: Four Leaf Clover, which sets sail from Feb. 2-6 next year.
