Chris Jericho Wrestled Konosuke Takeshita At DDT Ultimate Party (w/Video)

In a major international wrestling match, Chris Jericho has taken his feud with the Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita to DDT Pro Wrestling in Japan. The match, officially announced two months ago, took place overnight at DDT Ultimate Party and saw Jericho defeat his fellow AEW star via The Walls of Jericho.

However, in a show of sportsmanship, the pair would shake hands after the bout. Still, the rivals will face off again on the upcoming episode of Dynamite as part of a multi-man tag match that also includes Kenny Omega and Paul Wight.

Jericho is highly respected in Japan, first wrestling in the country on an FMW show in 1991 alongside Lance Storm. Subsequently, he would become a WAR regular between 1994 and 1996 before joining New Japan in 1997. And while his WWE runs limited his opportunities to compete in Japan, he still wrestled sporadically on WWE house shows held in the country over the years. He would then return to New Japan for a memorable run between 2018 and 2020, famously seeing him wrestle current tag partner Omega at the Tokyo Dome in a dream match.
