Just days after dropping the ROH World Championship to Bandido at April’s Dynasty pay-per-view, Chris Jericho would be written off AEW television after walking out on his Learning Tree stablemates Big Bill and Bryan Keith. Why this angle was done currently remains unclear, but Jericho is famous for taking breaks in order to reinvent himself and focus on other projects that keep him in the mainstream.

Yet, fans online are now speculating that Jericho’s AEW absence could be about to end after he took to social media to promote an upcoming convention appearance and, in the process, revealed he has significantly dropped weight. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee his AEW return is imminent, but considering the 300th episode of Dynamite is only a few weeks away, he certainly looks ready.

Jericho famously said he would never work for anyone else in the United States, having become a global star in WWE, although he made this statement before the company had a legitimate rival. Therefore, when Vince McMahon disrespected him by not featuring his WrestleMania 33 match with Kevin Owens in a prominent spot on the card, it opened the door for Tony Khan to take advantage of the situation. Subsequently, Jericho would become the biggest name attached to AEW when the promotion was launched, and while many suspect he will eventually return to WWE to receive a Hall of Fame induction, at the moment, he is firmly All Elite.
