WWE used to regularly have guest hosts on their flagship “Monday Night Raw” program. The concept was first introduced on air back in 2009 by current President Donald Trump and featured several celebrities from all walks of wrestling, sports and entertainment including Shaquille O’Neal, Bob Barker, Ben Roethlisberger, Mark Cuban, William Shatner, Jerry Springer, Pete Rose, David Hasselhoff and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne to name a few.
Chris Jericho talked about his experience with “The Prince of Darkness” when the two filmed a backstage segment for the show, and revealed that Ozzy wasn’t keen on using a particular insult on air. “So (Vince) put me in a backstage vignette with Ozzy,” Jericho recalled with Inside The Ropes. “And the idea was that I would be yelling at Ozzy and insult him. Then he would go, ‘You’re nothing but a stupid wanker.’ And so Vince is explaining this to Ozzy, and Ozzy’s like, ‘Wanker? I can’t call him a wanker, man. What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Wanker is like tossing off, man. It’s like jacking off, man. You can’t say that on TV.’”
Jericho continued: “You know things are bad when Ozzy Osbourne is the voice of reason of what you can and can’t say on TV.”
