Buff Bagwell Provides Update After Completing Latest Rehab

Seven months ago, 52-year-old Buff Bagwell revealed he was moving in with DDP to finally conquer the drug and alcohol addictions that have plagued his adult life. And while it was believed all was going well with the former WCW star looking healthy and in good spirits at conventions, it was unfortunately announced by DDP that he had relapsed. DDP would blame the enablers with which Bagwell has been associating.

Additionally, he would reveal that Bagwell would be at a rehab facility for an undetermined amount of time. Now, though, Bagwell is out of rehab, and has opened up about his recent problems, and revealed he has been sober since August 26th.

I was staying clean Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and tell myself, “great job Marc, that’s a great job, and you were sober for four days. You deserve three days off.” That’s what the addiction tells you. So I of course dove into that. And it’s like, Hey, um, if I can be clean four days a week, I think I’m doing really good.

I spent four weeks up there, and it was the only rehab I’ve really taken completely 100% serious. And I’m going to get 100% out of it on this one and already have so far, and I’m going to continue. This is day 32 or three. I’m not a big counter on your sobriety, but my sober date is August 26th.

Despite a controversial past that has seen Bagwell in trouble with the law, many fans are pulling for the charismatic performer and are hoping for a joyful ending. And while his relapse was a huge setback, he still has DDP in his corner, who was instrumental in helping Jake Roberts and Scott Hall achieve their goal of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Therefore he has every chance of turning his life around for good.
