Late last year, metal legends Iron Maiden wrapped up their highly successful “The Future Past World Tour.” Just prior to the tour’s conclusion, the band announced a trek for 2025 that will focus on the band’s material up to their 1992 “Fear of the Dark” album.

The “Run For Your Lives World Tour” kicks off on May 27 next year in Budapest followed by 27 stadium, festival and arena shows around Europe. The tour marks 50 years since Steve Harris formed the band in late 1975. Singer Bruce Dickinson cut a video previewing what fans can expect from their upcoming shows, and the frontman promises the group will perform songs they’ve never performed live previously.

“Hello folks. This is my tour pass for 2024,” Dickinson said as he showed his all access laminate from last year’s tour. “That’ll get me anywhere in 2024, but I don’t need that anymore now because 2025 is gonna be something special. Not just because of the tour pass. Honestly, we are pushing the boat out with the tour. Not that I need to tell anybody, ’cause basically the tour is sold out already.”

Dickinson continued: “So for those of you who have bought tickets, which is like all of you, it’s gonna be really, really cool. I’m really looking forward to it. We’re gonna be doing stuff we’ve never, ever done before, and it’ll be a setlist for the ages. So, I’ll see you there. And it’s not gonna stop in 2025. It’s gonna roll into 2026 ’cause there’s parts of the world that we need to get to that we can’t get to in 2025. So there you go.”

The tour will mark the band’s first in several decades with a new drummer following the road retirement of Nicko McBrain. The band will be joined by new touring drummer Simon Dawson. Dawson is a bandmate of Maiden bassist Steve Harris in British Lion.
