With Elimination Chamber taking place in Australia, it was thought the majority of WWE’s Australian talent would be on the premium live event, yet noticeable by his absence was Bronson Reed, who wasn’t booked on the show. And now the WWE star has taken to social media platform X to confirm the reason for this was because his wife, Paige, gave birth to their baby early, although he was always going to miss the show to be there for his family.
Reed looked like a future superstar while in NXT and held the brand’s North American Championship at one time. Still, just over a month after wrestling a dark match before SmackDown and on Main Event, WWE released him. The belief is he didn’t impress Vince McMahon and was, therefore, included in the next round of budget cuts. Nevertheless, once Triple H was put in charge of talent relations and creative, he would bring Reed to the company, which so far has looked like a very good decision.
