Bron Breakker Could Miss WrestleMania 42

In unfortunate news for WWE fans, Dave Meltzer reported on F4Wonline.com that Bron Breakker underwent surgery for a “serious” hernia.  Breakker’s last in-ring action came at the men’s Royal Rumble, where he entered at number 2 but was attacked by a masked figure, implied to be Seth Rollins, and later eliminated by Oba Femi. How long Breakker will be sidelined for is unclear, although this type of surgery typically requires 6-8 weeks of recovery, putting his participation at WrestleMania at risk.

28-year-old Breakker, real name Bronson Rechsteiner, is a second-generation wrestler, being the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner. A former Baltimore Ravens fullback, he made his in-ring debut in 2020 and signed with WWE in 2021. From there, he dominated NXT from 2021-2024, becoming a two-time NXT Champion and winning the NXT Tag Team Championship with Baron Corbin. From there, he joined the main roster in 2024, capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice, and is currently part of The Vision stable, with a match against Rollins on the horizon once both have been medically cleared.
