AEW star Brody King participated in the Casino Gauntlet Match at Saturday’s “All In” pay-per-view. On Sunday, King’s band God’s Hate performed at North America’s largest hardcore music festival, Sound And Fury.
Sadly just prior to their set, the band announced via Instagram that they were going on hiatus. “GOD’S HATE HIATUS BEGINS TONIGHT AFTER SOUND & FURY. THE JOB IS FINISHED… FOR NOW.”
For those not familiar, the band’s bio reads: “Co-founded by Colin Young of Twitching Tongues and vocalist/AEW professional wrestler Brody King, God’s Hate set out to re-establish the mantle of hardness created by East Coast HC titans Merauder, Hatebreed and the seminal Troy-core scene of the late 80s and early 90s.”
King’s fellow AEW workers have often been in attendance at God’s Hate shows, and King has hurled Darby Allin into the crowd on a few occasions. It doesn’t appear the hiatus is going to be a very long one, however, as several European tour shows remain on the band’s schedule for later this fall.
