Co-founded by Colin Young of Twitching Tongues and vocalist/AEW star Brody King, hardcore band God’s Hate set out to re-establish the mantle of hardness created by East Coast HC titans Merauder, Hatebreed and the seminal Troy-core scene of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.
The band has found a good deal of success in the hardcore scene, and on Friday the group performed at The Belasco in Los Angeles on a bill that also featured Speed, Demonstration of Power, Initiate, No Way Out and Foreign Hands.
King’s fellow AEW star Darby Allin was in attendance, and true to to his daredevil nature, Allin can be seen running on stage where he’s then picked up by King and hurled into the audience. It’s not the first time AEW stars have showed their support for the band. Two years ago, several AEW stars attended a show the band played in Brooklyn, and Allin and Daniel Garcia moshed and did stage dives.
“God’s Hate was a band born out of friendship and pure love for hardcore music and the desire to provide what we wanted to hear and felt was missing: Unapologetically hard music that holds nothing back musically or lyrically,” Young said previously. “There’s absolutely no room for bullsh*t, especially in the world we live in now.”
