Earlier this year, WWE released former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, which caught many off guard. Reportedly, the reason he was let go was simply because he was on big money, and management felt that he was no longer worth what they were paying.
Still with the strongman having always publicly defended the company, few thought he would ever speak out about management. However, after he claimed earlier in the week WWE only cares about “nepotism ass kissers and their buddies,” he has now called his release on X a “stupid business decision,” indicating he isn’t yet over his firing.
At one time, 41-year-old Strowman looked set to be a massive WWE star, having been positioned as a rival to the likes of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, and even Shane McMahon. Yet, his second run with the company was plagued by injuries, with surgery required at one point for his neck. Therefore, while he could eventually end up wrestling elsewhere, retirement appears to be a genuine possibility as he had definitely lost a step in the final months of his WWE career.
