Jon Bon Jovi has been credited with helping to save a woman who was hanging off of a Nashville bridge on Tuesday night. The Metro Nashville Police Department reports that the singer helped convince an unnamed woman to come off the ledge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night,” wrote Chief of Police John Drake. “Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety. It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”

Video posted by authorities shows Bon Jovi filming a music video on the bridge, but the singer stops when he sees the woman hanging off the ledge. Bon Jovi and another individual approached the woman to speak to her and then help her to safety. He then embraces the woman before walking off camera along with the rest of the music video crew.

The frontman reportedly has had crisis training through his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. Video of the incident can be seen below.
