Beavis And Butt-Head Break Cheesy World Record (w/Video)

Following the success earlier this year of the new “Beavis and Butt-Head” movie, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” the re-booted regular series featuring the heavy metal-loving teens launched in August on Paramount +. The show, created by Mike Judge, initially ran from 1993 to 1997 for more than 200 episodes.

During its initial run, “Beavis and Butt-Head” received critical acclaim for its satirical, scathing commentary on society. Judge also told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s still Beavis and Butt-Head and they’re pretty positive characters, generally speaking,” he noted. “You maybe don’t really think of that when you hear their names but they usually think everything’s pretty cool. Or, in one way or another, everything sucks.”

Last month, Paramount + hosted a party in honor of the show at the Smorgasburg LA restaurant, and the organizers were out to set a world record for the biggest serving of nachos. The venue explained in an Instagram post: “In 2012, the University of Kansas set the official Guinness World Records™ title for largest serving of nachos, weighing 4,689 pounds. In 2018, Las Cruces unofficially set the world record for the largest serving of nachos, weighing in at 5,039 pounds and measuring 110-feet long. Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head and Paramount+ will attempt to break BOTH of these records.”

They ended up achieving the feat as their nachos weighed in at 4,870 pounds. A Guinness rep verified the accomplishment and awarded Judge a plaque which stated: “The largest serving of nachos was achieved by Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head and Paramount+.” Judge replied, “This is the proudest moment of my career.”
