Baron Corbin’s WWE Return All But Confirmed Following This Week’s MLW Fusion Airing

It appears Baron Corbin’s return to WWE is imminent, as during the July 4 episode of MLW Fusion, the promotion stripped Bishop Dyer, Corbin’s MLW ring name, of the World Tag Team Championship he held with Donovan Dijak. MLW announcer Rich Bocchini cited stalled contract negotiations and excessive salary demands, saying that what he was requesting would “make a billionaire blush.” This unusual move removes a major obstacle for the former WWE star and aligns with widespread reports that his homecoming may already be finalized.

Negotiations between Dyer and Major League Wrestling have officially hit a total standstill. And my sources tell me that Dyer has been using, or attempting to use, his status as a World Tag Team Champion as the ultimate leverage. We’re talking about a salary bump and perks demands that would make a billionaire blush.– Rich Bocchini

Bishop Dyer, Baron Corbin’s post-WWE persona, made a memorable debut in Major League Wrestling on April 5, 2025, at Battle Riot VII, where he quickly established himself as a dominant heel. Entering the Battle Riot match at number 31, he scored three eliminations. From there, he teamed with Dijak to form The Skyscrapers, and the powerhouse duo captured the MLW World Tag Team Championships in June 2025 by defeating Los Depredadores. However, Josh Bishop will now apparently be taking over Corbin’s spot alongside Dijak from now on following an angle on the show.
