Baron Corbin, a.k.a. Tom Pestock, recently left WWE after his contract was not renewed. At a recent GCW show, however, Pestock made it known he intended to stay in the wrestling business, and he recently applied to trademark “Bishop Dyer,” presumably his future ring name.

At the GCW show Pestock debuted a new entrance theme, and in a response to fan on X he revealed that hard rockers Downstait, known for crafting several entrance songs for wrestlers including the wildly popular Cody Rhodes theme “Kingdom,” are responsible for his new tune. “It’s my new song that the boys from downstait made for me,” Corbin wrote. “It will be out soon!”

In addition to the aforementioned Rhodes entrance tune, Downstait has written songs for Nic Nemeth, The Miz, Chelsea Green, Matt Cardona, Britt Baker and Dustin Rhodes, among others. Lead singer Zack Call previously talked to Chris Van Vliet about being asked so often to compose a wrestler’s entrance music.

“It never gets old,” Call said. “I can tell you that. It’s the coolest thing in the world, especially when like our guys come to us like Buddy is one of them, like Britt, you can see coming from a mile away. So when we got to do her song, I was like, oh, man, we’re riding her coattails forever. We’re super lucky with all these people that we ended up doing the music for that they are so good at their craft, that we just kind of, you know, ride in the wave for a while. Buddy, though, I thought he was so underutilised. And when we got when he reached out and said, Hey, you guys want to? I was like, yeah, do whatever you want. Let’s go.”
