Bandido Suffered Injury During Rampage Match

In unfortunate news, Bandido has confirmed via his official Facebook page that he broke his wrist this past week when he wrestled KonosukeTakeshita on Rampage. Apparently, the initial diagnosis is for him to undergo surgery which would sideline him for some time, so he is instead going for a second opinion on Monday.

28-year-old Bandido began wrestling in 2011 as part of a tag team with his cousin. Ultimately though, his career didn’t take off until he embraced the look of a Wild West bandit and began wrestling regularly for The Crash Lucha Libre promotion and competing with higher-profile talent. This led to him wrestling in the US, and his performances resulted in WWE offering him a developmental contract. Somewhat surprisingly, he would turn this down, likely due to the salary, and instead signed with ROH as one of their highest-paid full-time performers. Subsequently, he won the ROH World Championship and was part of the World Six-Man Tag Team Champions along with Rey Horus and Flamita.
