Backstage News On How Bronson Reed’s Injury Changed WWE’s Booking Plans

On this week’s episode of Raw, Bronson Reed clearly suffered an injury while breaking up a pin during his Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Jey Uso and El Grande Americano, which was later confirmed as a bicep tear. And now, WWE insider @WrestleVotes has confirmed on X.com that Reed was originally booked to win the match and secure the final spot in the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Instead, Uso will now compete against Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, LA Knight, and Trick Williams after defeating Americano.

37-year-old Reed’s injury history has cruelly kept him from WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, twice, as he missed last year’s show after breaking his talus bone in half during a Tsunami off the WarGames cage. Surgery would subsequently sideline him for months, although when he returned to television, he was immediately pushed as a big deal and looked set for a featured match at WrestleMania 42. Yet that is now unattainable, with his latest injury keeping him out for 3 to 6 months, adding to the Australian’s heartbreak.
