Guns N’ Roses are currently on the road in Europe, but unfortunately had to cancel Tuesday night’s concert in Glasgow for undisclosed medial reasons. “Sadly, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform in Glasgow, tomorrow 5-July-2022,” read a band statement. “We are working on rescheduling options for this show so please hold onto your tickets and wait for a further update. We appreciate your understanding and patience.” The band’s next show is Friday in Germany.

While the cause for the cancellation remains unclear, frontman Axl Rose told the crowd in London last Sunday night that he’d recently visited the doctor, and as a result would be switching up some of the setlist. “So I went to the doctors and all that stuff. I slept here last night to make sure,” Rose, 60, told the crowd in a video shared on Twitter. “So I’ll be switching the songs around a little bit, vocally. I hope you don’t mind. We would like to keep going.”

Rose further addressed his health issues in a social media post on Thursday. “I’d like to thank everyone 4 their well wishes! It’s greatly appreciated! We apologize 4 the inconvenience of postponing Glasgow. I’ve been following Dr’s orders, getting rest, working w/a vocal coach n’ sorting out r sound issues. Seems good so far. Thanks again 4 everyone’s concern! At the end of the day it’s about giving u the fans the best of rselves n’ the best time we can give u n’ that’s all I, the band n’ crew r focused on. See u in Munich!!”

Last week, country star Carrie Underwood joined the band for two surprise appearances in London singing “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.” “Never in a million years did I think I would get to spend not one but TWO nights of my life on stage with @gunsnroses!” Underwood wrote on Instagram Sunday. “Thanks, again, to the band and crew and, of course, to the fantastic crowd! The energy was ⚡️⚡️⚡️!!! Until next time…” The collaboration came about two months after Underwood brought out Rose to sing with her at the Stagecoach Festival in California for the same two songs.

Guns N’ Roses’ European tour is set to wrap on July 15 in Hanover, Germany, and the band’s world trek will pick up again in September in South America.
