“Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your a*s!” by Stone Cold Steve Austin – Austin took the microphone after winning the King of the Ring versus Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and the promo was broadcast around the world. Austin’s rise in the world of wrestling began with this promo.
“You will serve hard time!” by Big Boss Man – One of the first wrestlers I was exposed to was The Big Boss Man. I always enjoyed him and his battle with the Mountie, despite his silliness as a character.
“If you smell, what the Rock is cooking!” by The Rock – The Rock needs no introduction and is one of the most recognizable people in and out of the ring.
“And that’s the bottom-line ’cause Stone Cold said so!” by Stone Cold Steve Austin – If there was one catch that perfectly suited a wrestler, it was ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s classic promo-closer. There isn’t a catchphrase that gets people more enthusiastic than this one, and fans adore yelling it.
“To be the man, you got to beat the man!” by Ric Flair – The greatest heel in WCW history and possibly the best all-around wrestler ever. He was a great heel, a fantastic face, tremendously talented in the ring, and a tremendous performer on the mic.
“What you gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?” by Hulk Hogan – Hulk Hogan was the guy that got me and millions of others hooked on wrestling, and many believe he is responsible for making wrestling what it is today.
“Suck it!” by DX – They’re arguably the most significant faction in professional wrestling history, and when you’re that good, you need a catchphrase to match. That’s precisely what D-Generation X had with their “Suck It!” catchphrase, which is undoubtedly one of the most well-remembered in WWE history.
“The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.” by Bret Hart – Hart was a highly competent technical wrestler in the WWE who exuded charisma and enthusiasm for his craft. In addition, Hart was unquestionably one of the greatest actors of all time.
“I am the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla” by Chris Jericho – Chris Jericho was a very loud and outspoken wrestler in the early stages of his tenure in WWE. He sang into the mic like an 80s glam rocker in one of his most enthusiastic catchphrases.
“Rest in Peace!” by The Undertaker – The Undertaker very seldom said much. Yet, his catchphrase is one of the most iconic on this list.
