Anthony Bowens Gets New Entrance Theme From Classic Band For AEW Dynasty

Anthony Bowens appeared at Sunday night’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view and drew one of the loudest reactions of the night when he answered his former partner Max Caster’s open challenge. Bowens also entered to a new theme song, “Underground,” by Jane’s Addiction.

Bowens said via X: “Ever since college, I’ve dreamed of walking out to Underground by Jane’s Addiction as my theme. It almost seemed like it was perfectly made for pro wrestling. What are your thoughts on the new theme?!”

AEW composer Mikey Rukus also shared on X: “Anthony Bowens new entrance theme is UNDERGROUND by JANE’S MTHAFKN ADDICTION!!!”

The song comes from Jane’s Addiction’s fourth album, “The Great Escape Artist,” which was released in 2011. The tune is the album’s opening track and was the third single to be released from the record.

AEW head Tony Khan previously highlighted the company’s process in licensing so many well-known tracks for their programming. “We work with a lot of the top musicians and licensing and publishing companies to get the top music in AEW,” he told Fightful via WGN Radio. “Moments in wrestling are so important. You’re so right, and we’ve been able to create a lot of magic moments, in part because of the great music that we’ve been fortunate to license.”

Bowens’ entrance can be viewed below.
