Eddie Kingston has become one of AEW’s most beloved stars and, after recently returning from injury, is already a prominent figure on television. However, in an interview with GabbyAF, the 43-year-old revealed that his career is approaching its end, as he intends to retire from the ring once his current AEW contract, with 6 years remaining, concludes. Additionally, he notes that his current focus is on earning money, as he intends to relocate to Alaska in the long term for a peaceful life away from society.
Kingston, born Edward Moore in 1981 in Yonkers, New York, began his pro wrestling journey in 2002 on the independent circuit. And while never blessed with a great look, he would still grab fans’ attention with his passionate promos and brawling style, leading to spells in TNA and ROH. However, his career truly took off when he signed with AEW, which solidified his status as the true “Mad King” of wrestling.
