In depressing news, the family of renowned New Jersey-based wrestling photographer George Tahinos announced last week that he had tragically passed away following a fatal cardiac incident. Obviously, this would hit the wrestling world hard, as Tahinos has taken many legendary photos, particularly his ECW ones, which are credited with bringing in many fans. And now, in a show of class, AEW would reserve a seat for him in their Full Gear media section along with a photograph.
Tahinos was active for over three decades, starting in the early 1990s, shooting photos for PowerSlam magazine. Known for his distinct appearance and willingness to travel extensively, he subsequently contributed photos to multiple publications, and it was speculated that he amassed about 2.5 million images over his career. His work also appeared in several WWE documentaries, and following his passing, he received online tributes from countless wrestlers and many promotions.
