A First Look At The Return Of “Beavis And Butt-Head”

Heavy metal-loving teens “Beavis And Butt-Head” are making their return to the big screen on Paramount+. Created by Mike Judge, the duo first appeared in 1993 and became a pop culture sensation via their unadulterated stupidity and unflinching honesty. The duo’s music video reviews segments also became the thing of legend, and they preferred the sounds of heavy metal over all other genres.

Judge tweeted on Tuesday: “Beavis and Butt-Head will be returning this year with a brand new movie and more on Paramount+. No exact date yet, but soon. They need some time to get back in shape.” Judge also included a new drawing of Beavis and Butt-Head as older adults, and fans are speculating that’s how they’re going to appear in the movie. Judge again will write, produce and provide the voices for both characters.

Last year, Comedy Central announced a deal with Judge to reimagine the hit series with themes relatable to both old and new fans. Judge was also the creator of other landmark series including “Silicon Valley,” “King Of The Hill” and movies “Office Space” and “Idocracy.”
