Friday night was big for Zelina Vega. Not only did she win the Women’s United States Championship from Chelsea Green, but her husband, Tom Büdgen, made his return to WWE television. Büdgen would re-debut as his former WWE character, Aleister Black, and made an immediate impact by taking out The Miz with a Black Mass, setting up a match next week.
And now, acknowledging the significance of this episode to both her and Black, Vega has taken to Instagram to ask, “What is life right now?” along with the photos below.
Vega and Black have had very up-and-down careers, with both having been released by WWE and subsequently rehired. However, their departures were under Vince McMahon’s leadership, and it is now expected that both will continue to be pushed under Triple H, as it is known that he has always been a big supporter of Black behind the scenes. And while Vega has seemingly not been one of his favorites, putting the title on her indicates he is ready to give her a chance to prove herself in a featured spot.
