It has been reported by Variety that WWE’s two leading brands are about to undergo a shakeup behind the announce desk. That is because, from Monday, Raw will now be commentated on by the current Smackdown team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, while the current Raw team of Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick will call Smackdown. However, Cole will remain on SmackDown, making them a three-person announce team with it stated this is because WWE wants Cole alongside Patrick to help him grow as a performer.
Cole, real name Sean Michael Coulthard began his WWE career as a backstage interviewer in 1997 and, over the next 25 years, worked his way up in the company to become a prominent figure while to some, he fell short of meeting the iconic status of names like Jim Ross and Gordon Solie, to a generation he is the voice of WWE.
