Talents frequently come and go in WWE, and while in recent weeks the future of Karrion Kross and Scarlett has been the hot topic of conversation, it appears they wearn’t the only performers whose contracts were expiring. This is because Ashante “Thee” Adonis, who had most recently been working on the NXT roster but has only wrestled a handful of matches this year, has announced on X that he is no longer with the company.
35-year-old Adonis, real name Tehuti Miles, was part of the military and a Division 1 football player before deciding to pursue a pro wrestling career in 2018. From here, he worked for MCW and ROH before wrestling on a 2019 episode of Raw as an enhancement talent against Braun Strowman. This would subsequently see him signed to a full-time contract later in the year and eventually become part of the Hit Row stable alongside Top Dolla, B-Fab, and current AEW star Swerve Strickland. However, shortly after being called up to SmackDown, the entire group was released due to budget cuts.
