Roman Reigns’ Next Title Defence Announced

Roman Reigns is one of the longest-reigning champions in the modern era of pro wrestling. This is due to the fact he is booked so strongly and hardly defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship because of his part-time status. However, it has now been announced he will be making a rare house show appearance in Kansas City on Saturday, October 14th, where he will be wrestling Sami Zayn for the title.

Reigns last competed in August when he successfully defended the title against Jey Uso at SummerSlam. And while it isn’t unusual for him to go a long period of time between matches, this time, he does have a valid excuse, with it known he suffered a back injury during the bout. Seemingly, though, he has now recovered, and with Crown Jewel taking place on November 4th, he gets an opportunity to work off some ring rust ahead of the highly anticipated show.
