WWE Reportedly Has “Significant Interest” In Bringing Back Another Former Talent

Since Triple H took control of talent relations and creative, he has wasted no time bringing back previously released talent to the point where it could be quicker to list the big names he hasn’t re-signed. And seemingly, he hasn’t stopped yet, as just days after Bray Wyatt and then The Good Brothers made their returns, it’s been reported by WrestleVotes, which has a good track record on breaking stories, that there is “significant interest” in Chelsea Green. However, as the 31-year-old worked Impact Wrestling’s tapings this past weekend, it isn’t known if she would be available, with her contract status unknown due to her recently wrestling for Billy Corgan’s NWA.

Green initially attempted to get hired by WWE via the sixth season of Tough Enough, but that didn’t work, as shed finished fourth among the women. Yet she wouldn’t give up, and after working for TNA as Laurel Van Ness, she would get signed following a successful WWE tryout. She’s soon become a part of NXT’s roster, although she did make one appearance on Raw and one on SmackDown during her run.

Nevertheless, her appearance on the 21st of November 2021 episode of SmackDown would be her final appearance for the company. As she broke her left wrist when Liv Morgan dropkicked her off the ring apron in a match she was initially booked to win. Subsequently, with her off television, when WWE was making budgetary cuts in April 2021, she was deemed surplus to requirements despite having signed a three-year deal just five months previously.
