Tiffany Stratton Reveals The Nickname WWE Wouldn’t Let Her Use

Tiffany Stratton made her in-ring debut in November 2021 and has quickly been fast-tracked up the card thanks to her spoiled rich girl gimmick getting over with NXT fans. And now, during an interview with ComicBook Nation, she has been discussing her time so far with the company, revealing in the process what she wanted her WWE nickname to be. However, her suggestion of the ‘Buff Barbie Doll’ was rejected because the company couldn’t trademark it due to Mattel.

ā€œI actually wanted to be called the ā€˜Buff Barbie Dollā€™ since the very beginning. I pitched the Barbie stuff for a while, and they always told me that, ā€˜Oh, we canā€™t trademark Barbie. Itā€™s already a thing.ā€™ But I was actually , so when I was a bodybuilder, I got on little Snapchat stories thing, and they called me the ā€˜Buff Barbie Doll,ā€™ and I thought it was so cool, it matched perfectly, and then I tried to bring it to WWE, and they told me no,ā€

While the ‘Buff Barbie Doll’ would have fitted Stratton’s character perfectly, it is obviously why WWE couldn’t approve the moniker, especially considering they have a partnership with Mattel. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old still looks set to make it to the top, and thanks to her current feud with Becky Lynch, it appears to be only a matter of time before she is a featured performer on the main roster.
