WWE Makes Another Round Of Layoffs

Corporate mergers are rarely positive for employees, and it wasn’t a secret that when WWE and UFC joined forces, duplication of roles meant some jobs would go. And now, PWInsider.com has reported that today has seen multiple layoffs from various departments, although they didn’t have any specific names or job titles.

However, Fighful Select has since verified that one of the most notable people to be let go was Kristen Prouty, who had been the organization’s Senior VP of Entertainment Relations for 24 years and played a key role in bringing in celebrities like Logan Paul, Snoop Dogg, and Johnny Knoxville.

Following the closure of the TKO merger last year, WWE wasted no time in laying off well over 100 employees, not including talents, many of whom had been with them for many years. Still, there appears to be no sentiment when it comes to big corporations nowadays, and this was demonstrated when Warrior Award winner Sue Aitchison was let go after she’d spent 38 years doing charity work for WWE.
