On Friday, news broke that WWE had released Rezar, Akam, Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander, and Blair Davenport from their deals. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Sonya Deville was informed that her contract, which expires in a few weeks, would not be renewed. And while fans had hoped this would be the end of the departures, Isla Dawn shared an Instagram Story saying, “See you in 90,” indicating she has also been let go. What this means for Alba Fyre, who is the other half of the Unholy Union, is unclear, but this isn’t a good sign.

31-year-old Dawn, real name Courtney Florence Stewart, broke into the business in 2013, with her first official match being against fellow Scottish wrestler Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks. From there, she would become a regular on the UK indie scene before getting her big break via Stardom in Japan. She would then get an opportunity to show WWE what she could do after she worked as an enhancement talent on Raw against Asuka and later competed in the Mae Young Classic. Thus, when WWE decided to launch NXT UK in 2019, it was no surprise to see her hired and subsequently established herself by working with names like Toni Storm, Rhea Ripley, and Lyra Valkyria.
