WWE Edits Mercedes Moné Out Of Video Following All In Appearance

Over the years, WWE has been criticized for not acknowledging past talents’ contributions to their product. And now, in another example of this, the company has shared a video of Bayley’s 2019 heel turn, which famously featured Mercedes Moné at the time. However, the footage shared has been purposely edited to remove the former WWE talent from the clip. Why WWE would go to the trouble of doing this remains unknown, although the fact Moné appeared at All In last week possibly played a part.

WWE employed 31-year-old Moné between 2012 and 2022 under the name Sasha Banks, and during that time she was a five-time WWE Raw Women’s Champion and one-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. However, despite her outstanding WWE career, which saw her headline night one of Wrestlemania 37 with Bianca Belair, her time with the company did end under a cloud when she and then tag partner Naomi walked out over a creative dispute with Vince McMahon.
